Dr. Emily Fondahn- Appointed as Associate Chief Medical Officer for BJH

Emily Fondahn, MD, FACP, has accepted the role of Associate Chief Medical Officer at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, effective Oct. 1.

Dr. Fondahn currently serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of General Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, and Medical Director of Graduate Medical Education and Medical Staff Services for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, among other roles.

As Associate Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Fondahn will report to Dr. Katie Henderson, Chief Medical Officer, and work with Barnes-Jewish and Washington University leadership to champion a culture of safety for our patients. She also will lead activities related to accreditation, regulatory agency audits, and will continue to provide direction for Medical Staff Services and Graduate Medical Education office.
