The Internal Medicine Residency Program is excited to announce the addition of 3 new Associate Program Directors to its leadership team.
Please join us in congratulating Drs. Dao, DeVita, and McGregor to these important roles for the Residency Program. We look forward to their outstanding contributions to the education and mentorship of the Internal Medicine residents.
Anthony Dao, MD is an Instructor in Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. He grew up in Dayton, Ohio and completed his undergraduate and medical school education in the combined BS/MD program at the Northeast Ohio Medical University in Akron, Ohio. After completing residency at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital, he stayed on as faculty in both the Divisions of Hospital Medicine and General Medicine. Dr. Dao is active on committees for the Internal Medicine Residency program as well on the Committee of Admissions for the School of Medicine. He is passionate about LGBT advocacy and residency education.
Michael DeVita, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine and currently serves as the Internal Medicine site director at the St. Louis VA. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University. Dr. DeVita is also a Co-Director of the Capstone Course for the Gateway Curriculum and serves as the course master for VA Honors Medicine sub-internship. For the American College of Physicians Missouri Chapter, Dr. DeVita serves as the Education Chair, overseeing content and format for the annual CME conference, and a member of the Governor’s Council. Dr. DeVita was selected into the Academy of Educators at Washington University this year.
Mary Clare McGregor, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. McGregor completed her fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine here at Washington University where she was selected as chief fellow. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and chief residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and attended Indiana University School of Medicine. She currently attends in the intensive care unit, pulmonary consult service, and interstitial lung disease clinic. Her true passion is in teaching and mentorship in graduate medical education.
